This tactical knife chops wood well but is not specifically designed for this task as it has a slightly thinner blade. A thicker blade knife would be more appropriate for the job but it would increase the weight of the knife. It’s a well balanced knife in spite of its size. It has a great finish and ergonomics. I’ve had this knife for some time now and I can say that it’s worth every penny. The blade is made of a large chunk of S30V stainless steel which makes it virtually impossible to break. Some of you may have concerns about its size. I can say that I had those concerns as well, but don’t let yourself mislead by first impressions.
