The blade is made of O-1 tool steel. Its high carbon content maintains a sharp edge over time and heavy use. The 0.14 inch thickness gives you the ability to chop wood for fire or shelter easily. It has a good edge and thickness, but it’s more of a working tool. There are other cheaper alternatives which do a great job but we couldn’t say that the Spyderco G-10 wouldn’t rise to the price, making it a high-end but excellent option for any bushcraft needs.
